CLEMENT IGBAFE FOUNDATION is a non-governmental organization, a non-profit and a non-political organization that focuses on improving the quality of life for Nigerians from disadvantaged backgrounds, empowering young, middle-aged and elderly, regardless of gender or status, to realize and fulfill their dreams.
Founded in 2021 by Mr. Clement Igbafe Afekhena and registered in 2023, the Clement Igbafe Foundation was inspired and born out of a genuine desire to immortalize the life and times of Deaconness Mrs Mabel Azegbuono Afekhena, a woman who spent her lifetime working to assist the vulnerable in society, support families, and lift homes.
With a goal of eradicating poverty in communities and society at large, Clement Igbafe Foundation aims to help indigent students attain access to quality education and quality living. Our comprehensive approach touches on every aspect of life. It is our responsibility to eradicate poverty on a root-and-branch level.
A major element of our focus and commitment extends to empowering young adults and women through life improvement skills training, professional skill development initiatives, and the necessary instruments and infrastructures required for the creation of wealth for the underprivileged.
We also place emphasis on the hygiene and health of our common people in our communities, since health is wealth. We are intentionally creating awareness about proper hygiene in our communities as well as providing free medical treatment by funding and providing free health care services to different communities, testing, evaluating, and treating major and minor illnesses.
Throughout the years, we have evolved from simply promoting and creating awareness of basic education for children, especially the girl student, to offering educational materials as well as supporting teachers. Over the years, we've provided educational scholarships, funding for secondary school graduation certificate examinations, and many more. In light of the belief that education is an essential component of empowerment, we established an adult education program with the aim of reaching those adults who had not previously been able to receive basic education.
A better society is something we owe ourselves and the people around us, so we believe that we must prioritize eradicating poverty, as a driving force toward empowering youth and women with tools, machines, finance and training for starting and developing a business, as part of our social responsibility.
There is no doubt in our minds that helping just one person won't change the world, but helping one person can change the whole world for that person and for that reason we are determined to continue in our quest to rescue the vulnerable in our communities, to provide support and lift lives as high as possible.
